Dream Big! Disney on Ice is back

Full disclosure: our family will receive free tickets to Disney on Ice and we were also provided four tickets to give away here. Read on for how you can win!

Longtime readers know that I’m a huge Disney nut and a big fan of the Disney on Ice productions. I’m thrilled to report that Disney on Ice is skating back into Columbus late this month – and you have the opportunity to win a family 4-pack of tickets right here on this blog!

This year’s Disney on Ice show is called Dream Big and features just about every princess you can think of, including the Frozen gang (Olaf included!). While Z at almost 7 is not quite as into the Disney princess scene anymore, she still loves Disney on Ice and jumped up and down with excitement when I told her we’d be going!

Last year we didn’t make it to see Disney on Ice, but we happily went when Zoe was age 3, 4 and 5. In 2015, we had a blast with our friends doing dinner first at Nada across the street (great Mexican food with ambiance that is both kid-friendly and a real treat for moms!). I’m hoping we can repeat that again this year – it was epic, as you can read in my Yelp review from that night.

The sweet spot for Disney on Ice seems to be somewhere between age 3 and… I don’t know. How many more years will I be able to enjoy this spectacle with my Zoebelle? So you better believe I’m going to wear my sparkly tiara and live it up big for this year’s show!

Want to join us? Comment below with your favorite Disney princess and please be sure you like both Lara-Mom Blog and Disney on Ice on Facebook, too. Zoe will pick a winner at random on January 15 – just in time for you and your favorite little person to go see the show on opening night, Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 pm at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

If you’d like to buy tickets the usual way, you can do so at Ticketmaster. Disney on Ice will be skating through Columbus from January 25 – 29, 2017 and there are both evening shows and matinees available.

I hope to see you on opening night at Disney on Ice! Comment below for your chance to win the family 4-pack of tickets. They will be at the Will Call window at Nationwide the night of the show.

  1. My personal favorite princess is Belle. My four year old daughter loves Snow White. She always has and always will. My one year old seems to like Repunzel but it is hard to tell.

    1. My new favorite is Moana, but Ariel is always near my heart. Zoe has gone through Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine and Pocahontas phases but is a Moana girl for sure now! 🙂

  2. How can you pick just one?? Cinderella has always been top of my daughter’s list but Elsa and Moana are favorites too. My personal favorite is Rapunzel because I want to see the lanterns too!

  3. We took our girls to Disney for the first time this past November. We met almost all the princesses, my 5 year old daughter loves Belle and my 3 year old daughter loves Ariel. It changes every few months but those two are the current favorites. We’ve never seen Disney on Ice…yet 🙂

  4. My favorite Disney Princess has always been Bell ever since Beauty and the Beast came out when I was little girl! My two boys on the other hand don’t like princesses but they sure do love Olaf and Sven from Frozen!

    1. There’s enough action in a Disney on Ice show to keep the boys entertained, too – Prince Phillip will battle a dragon in this one! 🙂

  5. My favorite is Mulan. My boy’s love watching every Disney movie, but most of their favorites are the villains, lol. Aurora/sleeping beauty is probably their favorite!

    1. My daughter went through a bigtime villain phase! Sleeping beauty is awesome – be sure to check out the movie Maleficient once they are old enough. We LOVE it.

  6. Belle is my favorite princess, although Ariel will always have a special place in my heart because I was named after her!

  7. I’ve always wanted to take my granddaughters to Disney on Ice. Thanks for the chance. My favorite princess is Snow White.

  8. I have 3 kids and we are huge Disney fan! Personally my favorite Disney princess is Belle. She’s beautiful and smart. I can’t wait to see the new beauty and the beast film this year! Thanks for the chance to win these tickets, we’ve been to a few Disney on ice shows and they have not disappointed.
