When I started this blog, I had a Friday Favorites series where I’d regularly write about five things I love, such as movies, books, cookies, places to shop or clothing brands.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Friday Favorites post, but it just so happens that five recent finds have been rocking my world lately. Looks like it’s time to dust off the series!
Here’s the scoop on my current Friday Favorites:
1. I recently discovered a new brand of jeans to obsess over. Judy Blue‘s size-inclusive denim is sold through online boutiques that do a great job with their ad targeting on Facebook and Instagram. After seeing multiple ads, I finally decided to give them a try. WOW, I am so glad I did. I adore their style, fit and quality. If you’re in the market for new jeans, look for Judy Blue denim on eBay or google to find a retailer.
2. For my birthday this year, I asked my fam if they would like ideas and Z said yes. I sent her a link to a glass necklace I had seen on Instagram from Nogu. Little did I know how much I would love this gift! Marketed as mermaid glass, this colorful yet translucent necklace goes with everything and has an adjustable length. Nogu donates 10% of net sales to Take 3, an ocean clean-up organization. I’m rocking my irridescent rainbow white mermaid glass necklace in the photo above. They’re like an oyster-friendly alternative to pearls – I’m a fan.
3. As someone who often has achey feet, especially after long walks or short runs, Oofos recovery shoes have been life-changing. I got the soft chocolate-colored slip-ons and they’re the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn. I wear them constantly around the house, but occasionally I’ve been known to do errands in them, too. They are honestly tough to take off because my feet never feel more comfortable, cushioned and pain-free than when I’m in my Oofos! If you have sore feet like me, you NEED a pair.
4. I’ve blogged about cookies many times before, but surprisingly Crumbl cookies are new to me. My amazing boss sent me a box of Crumbl cookies recently and our whole family went berserk over them. There is a Crumbl in Lewis Center that literally delivers warm cookies to your home. Could there be anything more deliciously devilish than that?! We tried cookies and cream, cinnamon square, red velvet and classic pink sugar. I love that the flavors change every week and that they deliver!
5. Longtime readers know that I love great food, especially from other countries and cultures. My latest find is the wonderful Everest restaurant in Worthington specializing in Nepali, Indian and Tibetan cuisines. The bestie and I visited here recently and it was so awesome (and a little spicy) that it blew our hair back. The restaurant has cute decor and an incredible menu; everything we had was utterly delicious. One appetizer called Bhatamas Sadheko – beaten rice and roasted soybeans marinated with garlic, ginger, onions, lemons, chilli, and cilantro – has been the subject of many conversations and daydreams since. It is unforgettable! I can’t wait to go back.
What do you think – should I bring my Friday Favorites series back? I guess in some ways, this entire blog is about my favorite things; it’s always more fun to write about things you love.
As always, let me know if you have other ideas for my blog!
