I’ll get fruits and veggies into our teen any way I can – and smoothies are one way she happens to adore.
That’s why I’m so glad we’ve got a Tropical Smoothie Cafe right here in Lewis Center, just a few doors down from our beloved Bibibop. They opened in October but it took me a couple of months to make it in. Now, I can’t stay out of the place!
If you’re not familiar with Tropical Smoothie Cafe, where have you been? They are popping up all over as a lovely alternative to the usual fast food places. They offer fresh fruit smoothies as well as salads, bowls and delicious, fresh-tasting wraps.
Verena, our former exchange student from Germany, stayed with us for two weeks over winter break. She LOVES smoothies and was already a big fan of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise. She got us hooked on the app, which provides many opportunities for freebies and coupons.
It’s worth your while to download the app because you get a free smoothie immediately! Then, you can also begin earning points for more freebies. This is a cute little cafe with seating and would be a great place for an afternoon meeting or friend-date with your bestie.
V’s favorite smoothie here is the Chia Banana Boost, mine is the Island Green and Z’s is the Paradise Point.
I’m also a huge fan of the Thai chicken wrap, which is super tasty. It tastes fresh and light but kept me full for several hours. V raved about their peanut butter banana flatbread but was not a huge fan of the Green Dream yogurt bowl.
Perhaps the best thing about Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Lewis Center is their staff. These guys are so friendly and kind! When I went in for the first time, I hadn’t downloaded the app yet but they still gave me my free welcome smoothie without hesitation. That meant I ended up getting TWO free welcome smoothies, because the next time I went in, I had the one on the app.
I think if you try this place, you’ll become a raving fan like we are.
Also, did I mention they have a drive-through for easy pick-up of your online orders? That makes it a total no-brainer to come here! I also think their prices are a lot better than the other fresh, healthy drive-through fast food place nearby on 23 (not naming names but it rhymes with Schmanera).
