Like Mariah says, it’s time.
Since the day after Halloween, I’ve been ready to start decking these halls. I want Christmas music playing, sparkly everything and that feeling of the holiday spirit swelling my heart to bursting.
That’s why I’m so glad to help get the word out about an amazing pre-Christmas event that is fun for our kids while also helping the families of hospitalized kiddos.
If Z’s time in the hospital a few years back taught me anything, it is how hard it is when your child is hurting and has to be hospitalized.
No matter how great Nationwide Children’s Hospital is – and trust me, we are lucky to have it – no child wants to be in the hospital. No family wants their child to be there, either.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) is located right across the street from Nationwide Children’s and provides comfortable, free housing for families with hospitalized children so they can stay close. RMHC also provides a comfort room at the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion at Nationwide Children’s so parents have a place to go for snacks, peace and quiet – or even to work. These resources are invaluable for families going through the absolute worst time of their lives.
Now, you can support RMHC and the families they serve by taking your kids to a fabulous Breakfast with Santa event on Dec. 10, either at 9 am or noon.
Located at the beautiful Grange Audubon Center downtown, this event will fill you with holiday cheer, provide some wonderful photo opportunities of your little ones with the REAL Santa and Mrs. Claus, and do good for families who need it most.
Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for age two and up. These special events will sell out fast, so grab your spot at Breakfast with Santa as soon as you can. Each child attending will receive a special gift – and the best gift of all is helping families who need it the most.
