New sweet treats at Easton

My fellow sweet tooths in Columbus need look no further - Easton Town Center now has ALL the sweet treats. Whatever your sugary pleasure or dessert dream, Easton's got it as of 2013. And since I'm a self-avowed sugar monster, and I happen to work smack-dab in the middle of Easton, it's going to be a sweet, sweet summer indeed. Here's the low-down on Easton's sweet new tenants: Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams - Although Easton's always had Graeter's ice cream (in the inside part of the mall … [Read more...]

The cupcake tour ends here

My cupcake tour, which began in 2010 when I was still a new mommy on maternity leave and lasted through several blog posts both here and elsewhere, is officially on hiatus. And I'm happy to report that despite many snooty, jaded food writers and bloggers repeatedly announcing that cupcakes are dead, the cupcake craze continues to rave on. Why? Because they are delicious. And tiny - well, … [Read more...]

Food, travel and fun in Ohio

Before beginning my very own mom blog here, I wrote about family fun on my client’s blog, Discovering Ohio. It’s a great resource for anyone who lives, works or plays in the great state of Ohio, as it’s full of fun things to do, visit and see year-round. Here are my posts from  Discovering Ohio this past year:  November Family Fun at the Zoo - If you only visit the zoo during summer months, you’re in for a treat. Here’s my rundown on why November is one of the best months to do … [Read more...]
