Energy healing has become a vital part of my self-care regimen ever since experiencing Reiki and Access Bars with Paula. She had mentioned to me before that she can do distance or remote healing, but I didn’t take her up on it because I loved the experience of going to her cozy office and enjoying her caring services in person.
Now that we’re all on lockdown, however, suddenly the idea of remote energy work is immensely appealing!
That first week of Corona-hell is when it all hit us hard. Our stress and sadness were at an all-time high from saying goodbye to our exchange student, losing Zoe’s Grandma and dealing with the closure of Zoe’s school. I was so stressed and anxious that I was crying daily, and so was Z. I felt absolutely horrible knowing how much pain she was in, and having so much anxiety myself that I felt unable to do much for her.
I knew we needed help – and that’s when our angel Paula reached out to offer remote energy healing services for both Z and I. I couldn’t say yes fast enough!
I honestly didn’t know what to expect from a distance or remote healing service. I wanted it to work so badly, but I’ll admit part of me was still a little skeptical. Paula called me just prior to the session and asked me to find a quiet place in my home and lie down for an hour, just as I would at her office. She said it was okay to fall asleep, which is a good thing because that’s exactly what happened.
When Paula first started, I did start to feel something… kind of a loosening or tingling in my head. Just as I started to feel that, I began to drift off. When I woke about 40 minutes later, I felt immensely rested and peaceful. I checked the time and continued to lie still until Paula texted me at the 60 minute mark to let me know she was finished running my bars.
I sat up, blinked and realized my stress was completely gone. I felt SO MUCH BETTER! Prior to the service, my mind and body had been on red alert, near panic and tears, for days. Now I felt nothing but peace and pure relaxation. I was utterly blown away by the difference in my energy!
Z came in and immediately apologized for disturbing me, and for our earlier disagreements (side note: this alone was amazing to me. Could she have felt the energy shifting in me/our home while I had my treatment done?) I wrapped her in my arms, apologized profusely for how stressed and angry I had been, and told her how much Paula’s distance treatment had helped me. I asked if she wanted to try it, and she nodded eagerly.
Bless her heart, Paula was willing and able to do the same Access Bars service for Z almost immediately. She called to speak with Z for a minute or two, setting her expectations. We put a nature program on the TV to help Z lie still and quiet for 40 minutes (the length of service we have realized is best for kids her age). Then, Z lay still and zoned out watching an ocean program while Paula, from her office miles away in Powell, ran her bars and healed her energy, just as she had mine.
The difference in Zoe after that 40 minute treatment was remarkable. She said she felt calmer, more peaceful and less stressed. She laughed and kept shaking her head in amazement and said she felt SO good! Both of us were like night and day from how we had been prior to the treatment – and all week. We continued to feel calm, peaceful, happy and relaxed for the next several days. Access Bars from Paula is the best – whether in person or done remotely!
If you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, sadness and even grief from this whole isolation/quarantine lifestyle, you are not alone. We all have to take care of ourselves – and others – right now, as best we can from six to eight feet away.
For extroverts like me, this new world is quite literally hell on wheels. I’m so glad to have energy healing as a new quill in my self-care quiver – and so thankful to Paula for sharing her amazing gifts with us remotely.
