Stella & Dot 101: my top faves

a few of my S&D faves!

Long before I became an independent stylist for Stella & Dot, I was just your ordinary average girl who loves pretty jewelry. But I never knew how to make my stuff look glam and stylish the way some other women do. Why do some people just have an innate, natural sense of style while others of us struggle to put together an outfit or ensemble?! I used to just wear the same old jewelry, day after day, because I didn't have confidence in my ability to mix and match necklaces or do something … [Read more...]

Copy-Kids gets kids to eat veggies

Copy-Kids

Disclaimer: Thanks to Copy-Kids for sending me a review copy of their DVD and making this blog post possible. My daughter had fun eating broccoli tonight! That's priceless in my opinion - and the opinion is absolutely my own. I feel like I'm in the presence of a miracle. Okay, maybe that's a wee bit dramatic, but I really am in absolute awe of the Copy-Kids DVD that encourages kids to eat fruits and vegetables simply by showing them other fun, giggly children doing exactly that. A zombie movie for families

WWZ

This is the first time I've attempted a movie review on this blog, and it may be kind of an odd one. I saw World War Z, Brad Pitt's zombie epic, last night and I absolutely loved it on multiple levels. In the meantime, I'm sharing a¬†product review. I'm not being compensated in any way for this review. I paid for my Origami Owl jewelry myself - … [Read more...]

Fitbit rocks for busy moms

Fitbit 2013

I started 2013 the same way I started 2012 - with a new year's resolution to move more and fit in more exercise. Both Januaries found me with a bulky, old school pedometer strapped to my side, keeping track of steps manually in my datebook and striving (with limited success) to do better from week to week. In 2013, I hoped to keep it going longer than the two months it took me to fizzle out in 2012. It's hard to keep something going when it's not all that fun, even if you know you … [Read more...]
